Signon problem - Printable Version

My MSN is acting very strangely - It shows me the "Upgrade to the newest version" etc. advertisement at the bottom of my chat windows and it signs in but never stops the spinning graphic, so all I see are new email notifications and errors that Conversation cannot be started with Person whenever they try to talk to me.
Messenger Plus also tells me that I need at least version 4.6 to install. The build in the About dialogue says 7.0.777 which IS the newest version... Any ideas?

Hey thanks, I can sign on and I figured out my Messenger Plus! problem, but is it normal for the little ads to stay on the bottom of my MSN windows? Is there any way to get rid of those again?
