Now I did have a little search around the forum and didn't see anything like this, so sorry if there was... Just point me there and I'll be off lol. So anyway, the plugin. I was wondering if there's a plugin that automatically closes the conversation when your contact closes it. I know it's possible because of the 'See when contact closes conversation' function of stuffplug etc. But that has been giving me some false information as of late. So I don't particularly want to be closing the conversation everytime I get the false message.

If someone is too busy to make it would you just come up with a little piece of code that I could perhaps work on as a practice for my 1st time using VB?

Thanks.

nice idea but really annoying when ur contact typed a quick msg for u and in the very next second he closes his window... causing ur window also closed and u will unable to read that msg..

Maybe some sort of timer then, say... 5 seconds or so, just so that if it was a quick message then it's possible to view it if really needed. I know there's a plugin that closes conversations every 30 seconds I think, I'm not sure how that works but to me I only want it to work when the conversation is closed...Not all the time which is what I assume, that plugin does. Some sort of timeout would end the problem of short messages? Not sure..

As Shezi pointed out, if you're going to use such a plugin you will be missing lots of conversations. Who says you can read the text in time, even with a timer? I advise you do drop the whole idea and close your convo's manually...

Because of the above reasons, such a plugin doesn't exist anyway as it is very useless.

well you know that hes gonna msg very important thing so i would ask to wait with sending it or i would say okay msg me it and i'll read back up later from the logs ;)

so i would stick anywayz to the old fasion way of closing the openconvo windows (H)

It was for personal use anyhow, as I stated I just wanted to practice my VB a little and get my head around the API. But sure... might aswell forget it :/

Sometimes with the new stuffplug displays false readings sometimes due to the new messenger server handing although this is rare :P

If you want to experiment with it as a way of learning VB and various APIs, then by all means go ahead and do it. it's just that such a plugin isn't really practical, due to reasons stated above.
