I uninstalled both MSN and Plus! with all registry files revmoced, etc and reinstalled MSN 7 and it STILL make smy CPU go up to 100%. RE: 100% CPU by matty on 05-09-2005 at 06:27 PM Which process is it that is taking up 100% of the CPU? If you click the Processes tab in Task Manager what process does it show using 99%? RE: 100% CPU by Richard Head on 05-09-2005 at 06:28 PM Nothing is 100%, that's why I thought it must of been MSN as my CPU goes sky high every time I load it up. quote:You can do this, without signing into MSN Messenger. As long as MSN Messenger is open. Unless this problem happens when MSN is just open and you are offline. I need more infomation, for example, does this problem happen if you uninstall Messenger Plus. For that matter, have you tried uninstalling MSN Messenger and Messenger Plus and reinstalling both? RE: 100% CPU by Richard Head on 05-09-2005 at 07:04 PM I've tried a fresh reinstall of both, cleaned registry files and other temp files they left behind. Still no joy. quote:Well start MSN, and choose to sort it by CPU usage and check what is using most of it. If something is hogging alot, list it. Also sort the colums by memory usage and write what is using the most memory. RE: 100% CPU by uberdosis on 05-09-2005 at 10:11 PM Whats your system specs?
