MSN 7 Slows down Outlook Express Tremendously by DJ_The_SP on 05-10-2005 at 12:56 PM

Hey guys,

I just switched to msn 7 last week and with both versions i have had until now: v7.0.0777 and v7.0.0813 my Outlook Express is terribly slow when it comes to starting it up.
(It used to load completely in like 2 seconds and now it takes half a minute..)

Im very positive this problem is related to msn7 and i really hope there is a way to resolve it...

If not i will be forced to switch back to msn6 because Outlook Express is very important to me. (I deal with a lot of important emails on daily basis).

If anyone can help me out here, thanks a lot. :)

It MSN 7 associated with Outlook? (POP Access)

Additionally stick to one build of MSN Messenger 813 one so uninstall the 7.0.0777

Well my msn account is a hotmail one and its listed in outlook as well, yes.

And im not running 2 versions, i just had 7.0.0777 but patched it later when i saw there was a newer version, so its the same bin. ;)

Even when i switch back to MSN 6.2 or 6.3 (wtv) , Outlook express is still slow.

MSN7 did it, but its not reversible any longer. :(

Damn M$. :@

[EDIT]

Will reinstalling IE6 and OE6, give me the same version that comes with Windows XP Professional SP1 ?

I wonder if they are the same builds, since the official IE+OE6 is rather old. :S
