What are you chatting about? by forevertom on 05-10-2005 at 06:20 PM

Whenever I try and download a plugin for the Messenger Plus it comes up saying file invalid or corrupt. I have looked in the help section and it says that you should go into settings and click on allow plugins or something like that. I found the section and followed the instructions. However, it has made no difference to the corrupt message that comes up. Anybody got any ideas? :S

You don't actually open a Plugin unless it has an installer. All the plugins go to C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3\Plugins (unless you installed to another location). If it is saying they are corrupted it is probably your download of it. Are you using a download manager/accelerator by anychance? If so disable it. If you are using Internet Explorer then goto Tools > Options > Delete Files (This will clear your temp directory). Then try and download the plugins again.

Where are you getting them from? And what actually says its corrupt?

Problem solved. Click save and not open right?
Once they are installed as in unzipped and appearing in the plug in section on preferences how do you use them?
Im useless I know!
