Google- help? by sparks on 05-18-2005 at 09:57 AM

hey i was wondering if anyone could help with a problem on all my internet browsers...

Whenever I search for anything on google it leads me to a
http://www.google.com/google.en.php

page with random results generally including porn and crap :S

I've done as many scans as i can with my adware and spyware detector and remover (adaware and i've even tried norton anti virus and tune up scans to find the problem) but whatever i search for i get led to that page :(

So can anyone please help me? I really need to get rid of this asap as my rents use the comp and if they go on google im gonna be in the **** 8-)

thanks...

My guess is something's made an entry to your HOSTS file, redirecting google.com.
The HOSTS file I think is in C:\Windows (maybe System or System32?). Edit that to remove any lines with google.com.

You may also want to use an anti-spyware prog and AV prog to clean the system too ;)
