I keep getting this alert appear every time I run MSN Messnger after a restart.

What could be causing it? After I apply the fix it still reappears.
Thanks.

You can try Alternate mode:
- Plus > preferences > miscellaneous..under Messenger Plus! Automatic Recovery Options, set it to "Alternate".
- Reboot
- Start MSNM and check if it's still in alternate mode
- Ctrl alt del to go to taskmanager and in processeslist end msgplus.exe
- Now restart MSNM and see if Plus! appears in the menu, if so "alternate mode" is working fine.
- After checking you can remove Plus! from startuplist by going to: start > run ..type: msconfig <enter>, go to startuplist and uncheck MsgPlus (this step isn't really needed, if need be Plus! will switch to "Allternate" by itself, just check if it's still set to "Alternate" every now and then).

- Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Messenger Plus! 3 > Change\Remove > Follow uninstaller
- Reboot your computer
- Download and install Messenger Plus again, has the problem gone?
If that does not fix it try this;
Main Messenger Window > Plus > Preferences > General Options > Miscellaneous > Make sure at the bottom under "Messenger Plus Automatic Recovery Options" you see a box with an arrow next to it, click on the arrow and make sure "alternate mode" is selected. Then click on OK.
However Alternate mode should be active after you have applied the recovery anyway. If you do change to alternative mode, reboot your computer so it can take effect.
Does disabling any plugins (Main Messenger Window > Plugins) fix the problem? Try unchecking the box next to "Allow Messenger Plus to load plugins in my account". Does the problem still happen?

Thanks for the prompt reply guys...
Well, the first time I restarted Messenger after the post above I applied the fix and rebooted. It just so happened that this time it worked after the reboot.
I don't know why it failed to work previously but if the problem reoccurs I shall follow your advice.
Just typical .
Thanks a lot anyway.

Most likely because you are also running some programs which conflict with the Messenger Plus! hooking. However the Messenger Plus! hooking is done very professional, and _if_ such errors occur it useually means that there are some programs which aren't programmed very well which prevent other programs (like Plus!) do function properly...
