The new version Messenger Plus does not have the "hide advertisement banner" option as all of the previous versions did.
This is one of the main features I use in Msgr Plus.

Patchou, the creator of Messenger Plus, decided to remove that feature.
However you can remove it with this plugin for Messenger Plus: StuffPlug-NG
Or you can patch Messenger using A-Patch to remove it.
Yet another way to remove it is with the mess patch from www.mess.be.
And no, this feature will not be coming back
