Music Editing Help by J.J on 06-10-2005 at 09:35 AM

Hey guys

I want to be able to get 2 songs to blend into each other.

By saying that, i dont want to put 2 songs together so they overlap, what i want is for one song to stop and the other to start after it, minimizing the difference between transition

Is there any music program that i can use to do this?

I currently use Goldwave, and i'm pretty sure it is able to do it, but i don't know how.

iif u have an ahead Nero package, it includes Nero Wave Editor. Its good if you want to cut bits of a song and put it in another. also im quite sure that after the first song plays u can leave a gap of a few seconds before the next song plays by copying the second song after the second.

sounds a bit confusing :S:P

Yes, Nero Wave editor works quite well, I have used it as well. If you don't have it, Windows Sound Recorder can do the trick

I suggest Audacity... It's a cubase copy without all the advanced functions.

It really can depend on the song itself. If there is silence for a second or so before the music actually starts it will obviously conflict if you use the same process for a song where the music starts at the immediate start of the song.

You are best off trying all of the programs out and see how it works with the songs you are using. Good luck :)

You need to use a program (like GoldWave or Nero Wave Editor to edit your audio files, to remove the very begining of each track, so that the song starts at the very begining of it, with no wait. You also need to remove the very end of each track, so that the next song starts right after the end of this one.
