When you click in the username of someone in this place:
It doesnt go to the profile of that user but to the profile of the last user replying to the topic ( which is the same if you are seeing an updated version of the page ).
I discovered this because i was looking at a cached version of T&T and when clicked on my username to see my profile in a palce like that, it went to Killov's profile because he was the one who had replied at last.
I dont think this is a big trouble but blah

No actually that i found out a long time back. It has a key which takes you to the profile of the last poster in that thread. It is much more easier and convienint to code it that way i guess

It is kinda crappy, but that's the way it works.
I think it was done that way for efficiency.

is the last user who posted stored as the user id, or as the username?

I would guess the user id, but isn't it always the user id and the username is never used for linking to profiles AFAIK?

Notice the uid=lastposter, so lastposter is stored as the user id.
