They only talk about a "memory key" what kind of memory key is it?

I just ordered mine lmfao, I've wanted one for ages, just couldn't be bothered, it will do for work and stuff I suppose .

Memory keys are those little cool (i guess you can call it) "portable floppy drives" lol

I have no clue how long it'll take to arrive. I ordered mine today. I doubt IBM is going to be rushing them off to FedEX overnight lol.

It's also not really a life and death situation. It'll be cool checking your mail in, who knows? 2 weeks, a month, 2 months... all that matters is that you'll be greeted with a cool USB key and it will lighten your day!

How did you find that page? It looks like one of those big city corners that few people have seen it lol, i mean i couldnt reach it trough the main site, like in that city that would be the corner not apearing in the map.

Does it say anywhere that you can actually use the memory key? It comes preloaded with marketing information and "helpful guides", can you even delete them and put your own stuff?

Thought while I am authoring this: you probably can use it, or they wouldn't bother telling us that it is 32 MB.

Shezi, login to ibm.com and it it doesn't present itself, follow the link in the first post, and request your memory key.

This thread title should read "Memory Key", not "Memory Stick". There is a big difference between a memory key and a Memory Stick. A USB flash drive (aka memory key) is referenced in Wikipedia:Flash memory

hmmm let's see just registered for one, although my brother owns a 1gb (970MB) memory stick but i always wanted one to store my little documents and stuff, lets hope it will get here, (if it is not a scum anyways...

Yes, I signed up and a guy knocked on my door 5 minutes later. I had a little chat with him and he said that if you're not home when he comes, he doesn't bother and you miss out. So I would suggest you all just sit back and relax until it arrives..

Atleast if you are in asia and not in America   Mabbe earlier in America ...
My guess is ...
1 - 2 weeks -> America
3 - 4 weeks -> Europe
6 - 8 weeks -> Asia

The free Service Pack 2 for Windows XP took ages to arrive. They are just slim packages, and can be handled like an ordinary letter. The UBS flash disks will almost certainly be shipped as a parcel.

I ordered it too. Have not recieved anything yet.

But take a look at this thread in another website, they say they recieved a flash drive, beginning from 25th of June. It's a 32MB which comes with a USB cable also. The computer will recognize it as 2 partitions; let's say D: and E:. One of them would have an autorun file on it which is READ ONLY AND CONNAOT BE ERASED (which is about 5MB).

Just forget you ever ordered it, it will probally take weeks/months. Free things never deliver fast. I ordered mine today, i guess i will probally take 6 to 8 months to get it to the Netherlands, same was with the free webcam i got from Microsoft.

I already have a 1GB Cruzer Mini anyway love it!

those Memory Sticks are full you publicity that can't be erased, and more ads pop up when you connect it to a pc

well i wouldnt really need a 32mb flash drive since i have a 128 mb on and a 30gb ipod which could be used to store stuff other that music pics and movies but i wouldnt mind another one. i just like getting stuff in the mail.
