Well i'm French and I regret that... RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by emit on 07-06-2005 at 02:55 PM It's a disaster. London can't handle it. Sigh. RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by FrozernFire on 07-06-2005 at 02:57 PM some people, working near the convention centre the IOC meeting was held, will be so relieved from what i have heard on other forums, the place was practically flooded with security guards and policemen. david beckham even went to the school my mum is lecturing in, but she missed it RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by SikStyles on 07-06-2005 at 03:33 PM woo i love london so good you whoever made the decision RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by Anubis on 07-06-2005 at 03:57 PM W00t ...I'm glad that the UK got it for once. We had a bid a while ago to get it for Manchester, but Syndny won, I'm really glad that it is in London. RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by ayjay on 07-06-2005 at 04:11 PM I don't really care that England got it, I'm more happy that Paris didn't get it RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by Tasha on 07-06-2005 at 04:13 PM

I'm so glad London got it because i live there, and i don't think it's going to be a disaster. It will make a big difference to London which will be good, like the transport will be improved. quote: Yeah it was in london then as well. And we won! quote: I do really believe that it will be fine. There will be loads of work put into this and there will be a big change to accomodate for the olympics. RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by Fraisie on 07-06-2005 at 06:43 PM I'm glad, although I was rooting for New York. But London seems like such an incredible city, its a good thing RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by saralk on 07-06-2005 at 07:42 PM the venue for Plus! Meet 2012? RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by mad_onion on 07-06-2005 at 08:02 PM

RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by Pipish on 07-08-2005 at 06:54 AM I'm glad london got it i would much rather it to be in london than ny london just seems so much nicer RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by dylan! on 07-08-2005 at 07:03 AM london...but it woulda been better in regina..although that would NEVER happen RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by Tandy on 07-08-2005 at 07:13 AM
Sydney was so good they even copied the layout of the stadiums to be the same...no games will ever be as good as sydney, but hopefully london will do well. RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by saralk on 07-08-2005 at 09:13 AM
quote: not any more than can be expected for a capital city. RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by tomfletcherman on 07-08-2005 at 01:41 PM Blah I don't want the olympics in london, everyone coming from abroad will crowd london and think about all the people living there. Also the olympics is about 2 weeks long + & boring and it covers all the good programmes on tv RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by RaceProUK on 07-08-2005 at 02:14 PM Not all the events can take place in the capital anyway. For instance, London won't be the location of the watersports events - they're more likely to be at Holme Pierrepont in Nottinghamshire, many miles north of London up the M1. quote:blah.. don't be so english.. It's stupid how the English don't like the French and the French don't like the English.. even today -_-' even happens in Canada, heh quote:lol.... well, I think I'm glad it's nowhere close to here! I hate having lots of people from loads of countries invading the place Like the Grand Prix. I was at the amusement park right beside it and we left EXACTLY when it ended the subway was jammed with so many germans and such! (I don't really hate them.. I just don't like the feeling being with other people that talk dodgy languages and surround you everywhere ) BUT ANYWAY! Whoever from England that is glad, then good for you! Just hope they don't make another Olympic Stadium like ours!(in Montreal) (nah they won't blah!) our roof is leaking in winter because I believe it's some french dude who designed it but he was used to the temperatures back in France and he didn't think about the acumulation of snow we get during winter.. so there's water pooring inside the stadium RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by rav0 on 07-09-2005 at 01:18 AM
Well at least all the tourists going to London will be spending lots of money buying things from you. RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by evm on 07-09-2005 at 01:20 AM i wanted paris to win the 2012, cuz i don't think london will handle it and paris is a nicer city RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by *Saint* on 07-09-2005 at 06:11 AM
quote: Dont Get too over confident there... there has been lots of olympics in lots of cities and there will be many more olympics so i dont think Sydney Was the best and if it was I doubt it will stay that way and ever city that had the olympics people will say theres was best so... Montreal 76 Was Best quote: I Wanted Paris to Win Also I Like how paris looks.. in pictures at least and it has a cooler name? quote:Yeah i did love the way the S and the 2 made a heart Good to see that london won Too bad there were bombings But its good that the IOC stands by its descission to have the 2012 olympics there cause while london was a candidate its security was obviously thoroughly checked RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by Rubber Stamp on 07-09-2005 at 08:21 AM any chance of the olympics being in india? maybe in the next hundred years or so?? RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by wacky on 07-09-2005 at 08:31 AM
quote:yeah, I believe sydney did get bombed That's really stupid. The Olympic Games are something really nice. Millions of people gather to watch them and there should only be peace. It's really nice to see countries reunite for such events. People get jobs too.. Olympics are really something that I'm glad was evented, even though it used to be much different. Now it's only enjoyable for all. I hope London don't have any problems because it would suck big time RE: RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by rav0 on 07-09-2005 at 08:45 AM
quote:I don't think that Sydney 2000 got bombed, I might be wrong though. RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by saralk on 07-09-2005 at 08:58 AM iirc the atlanta olympics got bombed. RE: 2012 Olympics to be held in London by wacky on 07-09-2005 at 09:02 AM
