Now this forum can do it's bit now i know there has been a huge arguement about this and many of you saying that's it's cuppupt etc. At the end of the day it's for a good cause and therefore should be done :P

I don't want any arguements about poverty history bands just give your idea ;)

How http://www.tashaj.info/Forums/ and http://www.msgstuff.com/forum is mybb forum with the poverty band in the index page :)

I want this forum to have it to ;)

Pros:

  • Gives support to help save lives
  • Gives the forum a good name and shows patchou is not a evil spyware giver :P

Cons:

  • Some people in the forum do not support the cause
  • It would make accessing the bit at the top right hard or make the top left look ugly
  • Does seem quiet as it may not help the cause :(

Anyway that's my suggestion

In templates in the header template add this after div class ="menu"

Thanks everyone it's just a suggestion i dont want and flaming about the bands in this thread just the pros and cons about it and the idea :)

I added it to my site a little bit ago. I like helping to support good causes and stuff like that. It means that the Make Poverty History site can be more popular as Google and other bots spiders pages with the banner on etc. And also, not forgetting the human visitors who see it and click it, getting the message across.

Blah... dodgy activists and people who think they can change the world... that kind of stuff just annoys me and I want no part in it.

You can change the world.  Everyone can.  Look at Patchou, for example, He has.  Messenger Plus! has millions of users and has been reviewed in PC Magazine and on TechTV and probably tons of other places...he changed the world in the way that they message eachother.

Erm...Patchou was an average person before he was a "genius".  We all start out at the same intelligence level (ok, I guess some of us dont if we have birth defects or something like that), but either way, same idea.

Either way the decision has been made and I don't see WDZ changing his mind any time soon.

Also to note, yes, Patchou has had huge success but you can't compare it to something like poverty like you're trying to do. Messenger Plus! has not "changed the world" in a global scale like that. It's an unfair comparison.
