ok this morning i wokr up and noticed that the kewyboard and mouse were not working on my computer ...so i turned off the computer and unpluged then and pluged them back in.  then i turned on the computer and the computer just makes these loud beeping noises...the moniter doesnt show anything on the screen or anything...what happened to my computer????  please help me right now im on my sis's laptop so ill be on here waiting for an answer...thanks

It could be due to the processor, RAM, or video card.

Count the beeps, and check them with your motherboard manual.

well i havnt added anything to the computer at all and i just was rebooting the computer.  and the beeps just keep going on.

Take the video card out, put it back again and try it.

obvious question, but have u checked everything is plugged in like ur monitor into ur gfx card etc..

i've just taled to him on msn and thinder and lighting may of coursed it overnight

the gfx card is built in the motherboard.  and everything is plugged in right and absorbation said it could of been due to lightning b/c there were storms here last night and this morning...and the power company is working on some power lines near my house too so i dunno.

Take your power box in and get it repared Fuse is probably blown

no  it was on all night

that might be the problem because when u lose power its actually very bad...i lost my HDD due to it and i had to start all over again..yes u probably blew a fuse or something..smell the inside of the computer and see if u can smell burnt smell and look for dark spots on ur motherboard

it diesnt really smell like it is burnt...

well i foundout that the computer just needed to reset it self ...which means all i had to do was unplug the power plug and plug in back in later and now it works and im on it right now.
