when i try to visit he guest's profile then it say that..
The member you specified is either invalid or doesn't exist.

no, when merged it just moves all posts and stuff to one then deletes the other user, in this case hobbes exists, durex got deleted

well im guessing it has something to do with the way the forum is coded, that if the user doesn't exist it assumes it is a guest.

Wow, two pages for a question which was answered in the 2nd post.
It is because, as Shawn said, the user got deleted.
It's not how the forum was coded, it's how WDZ's reputation system was coded in that it assumes that if no matching user id is found in the users table then the reputation was left by a "Guest".
It wasn't necessary to drag this thread over two pages..

deleting it is not right because lots of people leave the forum and dont have there votes deleted and so why should this persons vote be deleted.... the point can still be valid

Since the admins are only likely to delete an account if a user gets a new one, it should be fine and we shouldn't have to worry about it. They could code something so if this happens, the old votes will transfer over to the current account.
