i restarted my computer and there is a blank title bar on my desktop and if i click on it it makes that ding sound....here is a pic and if u see somthing in task manager processes to get it the end please tell me thanks.

hmm i searched google for objectdock.exe and i didnt see anything there that looked good. Terminate that process and see if you have any luck?

object dock isnt it ...you see at the top of my desktop in the middle...thats object dock

ahhh ok.
well from looking at the processes, there isnt anythig which looks like adware/spyware but i can easily miss something :P
on the window can you resize it or does it beep when you try and interact with it?

btw, you have a lot of Konfabulator.ex's lol

yeh it might, seeing as this is the first time you have encountered this?
also have u installed something recently that might cause it?
if you run out of ideas you can try a system restore

system restore is only on win ME and Xp not 2000 and it didnt help to restart the computer and ill see if it is konfabulator...nope not konfabulator..im also gunna run an ad-aware scan

just playing, just say u encounter a problem when runnig their gmail notifier and like a link to the image, also tell them wat system ur runnig

press ctrl + alt + delete, click on the applications tab, and then right click on the phantom window, and choose go to process, then the process it selects is the culprit

what are you talking about...when that title bar is open its not under applications.

google contacted me back and here is what they said, and what i said:

problem looks like.  I encounter these difficulties when i open gmail
notifier, I am not recieving error messages, it happens all the time
and it is the first time this has happened to me ever.  I have
Internet Explorer version 6.0.2800.1106, I also use FireFox Version
1.0.6  .  I use Microsoft AntiSpyware and Ad-Aware SE personal, and
Xoftspy.  I do not have any toobars installed on my computer.  Thanks
for this oppertunity, and i hope the information i have given you can
help solve this problem.

At least it sounds like Gmail cares.  Sometimes I send in reports to certain companies and the never reply :mipdodgy:

It's doing that because the piece of code that hides it has been removed or it is being blocked from executing. That bar is supposed to be hidden. That bar is the actual Google Notifyer program. That’s how the Notifyer stays running in the background. There are many programs that do this. I have a program to unhide these hidden programs but its no super wow when you unhide them, there usually just a blank bar like that one or a blank form.

AdAaware, and/or Xoftspy support teams for help customizing your settings
so you can still access your Gmail account after reenabling the software.

If you continue to experience difficulties after following the above
steps, please respond to this message and we'll investigate the issue
further.
