quite easily..
in a conversation window type
code:and then where ever you want bold or underline or strike out click the plus

There's actually a whole raft of keyboard shortcuts.
- Ctrl+B toggles bold
- Ctrl+U toggles underline
- Ctrl+T toggles italic (I think)
- Not sure what strikethrough is
You can also highlight some text and press Ctrl+R, then select the formatting option you want applied.

CTRL + I toggles italics

Actually... I think the way raceprouk said works also... That's the way I did it anyways... and my nick is right.
