well the problem is you cant get space out of thin air, and if you cant get rid of programs or delete things then you cant have more space. RE: space maker by super-schaf on 08-08-2005 at 01:45 PM but there are some programs were you can! RE: space maker by philipe on 08-08-2005 at 01:46 PM Maybe ccleaner can help http://www.ccleaner.com/. say i went and bought an 80gb hard drive... connected it all up.... what else would i have to do? would i have to change the bios or something? i've been thinkin about this for a while... RE: space maker by Eljay on 08-08-2005 at 02:39 PM
quote: plug it all in set main drive jumper to master set new drive jumper to slave boot up that should be it, the hard drive should be auto recognised bu the computer so i dont think you need any BIOS changing RE: space maker by philipe on 08-08-2005 at 02:46 PM Well if you get a new internal hard drive, you first need to connect it and then follow the instrucions of your motherbord manual how to install a hdd in bios settings (it is different to every motherbord) You also need to format it after you installed it which is also described in the manual of the hard drive. quote: i take it the picture is ment to be an IDE connector? my IDE wires do have 3 plugs.. 1 motherboard one hdd and one spare.. if thats what you mean RE: space maker by [MR] on 08-08-2005 at 03:52 PM
quote: the bios should recognize it plug and play and it should be listed in my computer. RE: space maker by RaceProUK on 08-08-2005 at 07:25 PM
quote:Yes, that's an IDE cable. And the different spacings are representative of the spacings on the cable itself. |
