Since i am using last fm, its a nice thing (works on winamp) and there were other groups ... i thought i'd make a Messenger Plus! Team :cheesy:

To see what Last Fm does ... go to My Last Fm page

When you listen to music on winamp or wmp, it just sees what song you are playing and records it on the server so that there is a record like what songs you like and all .... its fun

Follow the instructions and it'll tell you where to download audioscrobbler (reqd plugin for winamp) from :grin:
For any doubts, please ask.

Note this is only for fun like we have a whatpulse team, i just made a last fm team

UPDATE:
We are at 7 members .... we need more ppl

And there is no extra resource hogging installation reqd. Its just a plugin for your wmp or your winamp (which ever you use )

C'mon we need 7 more ... all you have to do is make a small account (no activation reqd) and install audioscrobbler.
If you have any doubts then you can ask about it in the Last fm MP! forum (its not for mp! stuff ..... just for last fm stuff and fun )

UPDATE:
Most of you guys havent filled out your profiles ... if you do then we can get even more stats ....
all you have to do is upload a pic as yuor avatar (else it doesnt save the profile for me atleast ) and fill in your age (it will ask ur entire b'day but reveal only your age in years ) and country (for country stats :banana: )

Atm we have 2 ppl from the UK, and 1 each from australia, austria, india and portugal .... thats 5 ppl ... 4 of you havent filled up your profiles

You need to download the winamp plugin for audio scrobbler :dodgy:

When you do .... and when you start winamp the next time it will ask you for a user name and password which is the username and password that you used to register at last.fm (last.fm = audioscrobbler)
Then login at last.fm and join the messenger plus! team
Edit your last.fm profile (for fun

)
And obviously listen to songs via winamp now

Yeah i know .... but that was for expert who downloaded the plugin for WMP and was playing songs through winamp .....
Hence i said ... if you get the winamp plugin then play songs in winamp

Thats 11 of us .... lordy and expert are in too .... come on ... we all know almost everyone listens to music and almost everyone uses either winamp, WMP or i-tunes :-/

I just like to know how often I listen to a song , find other people who like the same music and maby I'll like some of the other music they listen to , to build my music collection up.

Ok fair enough tho it is good for me cause i wanna expand my library and it checks the songs i play. When i have listened to enough songs then i can see similar artists to my choice so i can expand my library ... thats the main benifit i get

And i dont think its a keylogger or has spyware .... i ran zone alarm
security suite's anti-spyware scan .... well most of us have such apps
to scan so if it'd be true we'd have found out correct

I only use last fm as a now playing thing for another board where there a now playing thread. Seemed stupid having to copy my entire playlist (composed of at 361+ songs at the moment) all the time.

Anyways, joined, only because I have been there for a few weeks anyway
