Fomine Real-Time Communication Server is based on the industry standard protocols. That is why it is completely compatible with Microsoft Windows Messenger
This software works with Windows Messenger 5.0 and 4.6, so Fomine RTC becomes the your server instead of the Passport one. but note that you can still use both, Passport and RTC in the same messenger.
