i would like to know if there is a Messenger Plus Sound Database where you can access and decide which sounds to download to your computer to use them, if not, there should be one, thats my suggestion.

well, thanks, but one is only for sound packs and the other just has the top ten, there should be a complete database. the reason i want this is because i formeted my computer and now i lose all my sounds that i created. 
so im sad.

well yeah but, not all the sounds, you should be able to hear them and if you wwant them there should be something to make plus record the sounds code so that you can use them whenever you want.

You might wanna check out Dempsey's site for that, he has a neat little flash plugin..

There are millions of users who use the sound feature and if that internal database has to be made public with a databse driven access page so everybody can access, view, sort, play, download sounds from it, it would put a extremely huge strain on the servers. And they already have a big bandwidth use as it is now. It would extremely slow down everything.
The sound feature is more meant as a feature between you and your contact, not between you and the rest of the world. In this light, the servers act as a extremely huge temporary storage device; very old sounds will eventually be deleted (as they are stored on the user's computer anyways).
Other then downloading and installing soundpacks from those sites listed in this thread, you can already download sounds randomly from the database. To do this you need to:
-open a conversation window
-click on the sound icon on the right in the typing area
-select the category you want a sound from
-click on "download random sound"
-(if you like, select a language of the sound)

Another way of downloading (popular) sounds is going to the official database statistics page and downloading the sound with the ID's you see on there...
Those are the only possible ways in getting new sounds from the sound database server...

i know but i did some sounds with my music and i used them with my friends but because nobody alse used them the server deleted them too ften so i couldnt get them back, and since i formated my computer i lost my sounds, ill guess ill make them again but im so sad

lol, anyway, i would love if they could make that database but as you said, the database was made for you and your contacts and not you and the world. thanx anyway.
