RE: Google Phone Services by guanako on 08-24-2005 at 06:22 PM

RE: Google Phone Services by Max on 08-24-2005 at 06:35 PM

Nope its nothing about Google Talk. :P

And ShawnZ, its kind of like Skype Out. But you don't have to pay. You can call specific phone numbers for three, whilst with most VoIP services you can only call people on that service. :)

RE: Google Phone Services by guanako on 08-24-2005 at 06:37 PM

i wonder if ti is long distance too:D

RE: Google Phone Services by Max on 08-24-2005 at 06:40 PM

Since its being done over the World Wide Web, I think it might just be long distance. :P

Most VoIP services let you call landlines, and most of them even for free

Ever heard of voipBuster?
RE: Google Phone Services by Max on 08-24-2005 at 06:42 PM

So whats this great difference between VoIP and an IM Audio convo?
RE: Google Phone Services by Max on 08-24-2005 at 08:06 PM

Nothing much really.

But Google's Phone Service will allow you to call Landlines, so the recipent doesn't need to have a GMail account like Google Talk.
