Hey.
It seems since upgrading to MSN Messenger 7.5.0299 once I turn my computer off the next time its turned on all my custom stuff /backgrounds/custom emotions etc disappear and I am left with the default ones 
I've reinstalled it and tried adding them again but they just disappear once I reboot.
Windows Version: Windows XP, 5.01.2600
Messenger Client Version: 7.5.0299
Messenger Plus! Version: 3.54.0132

There is an option you should uncheck 
In main MSN Messenger window, check Tools\Options
Then, in Security section, uncheck This is a shared computer so don't store my address book, display picture, or background on it

Thats already unticked

Well, I wonder if that has to do with the "Remember me" checkbox in Sign in screen... have you got that option checked?
