Um, no.

Are you talking about the bridge accident that happened right now?

Not an attack.

quote:
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - More than 500 Iraqi Shi'ites died in a stampede over a Tigris River bridge in Baghdad on Wednesday, panicked by rumors a suicide bomber was about to blow himself up, hospital and police sources said.

"So far we have 500 dead," Deputy Health Minister Jalil Al-Shumari told Reuters. Police and hospital sources later said at least 575 had died in the stampede. They said 255 people were injured.

One hospital said it had received at least 100 bodies by 12:30 (0830 GMT). The hospital source said bodies were being sent to two other nearby hospitals as well.

"We have lost count, we have hundreds and hundreds of dead and injured," a Health Ministry official told Reuters.

"We can't tell how many are dead. Many bodies are still in the river," the official added.

"The death toll is 575 so far," a police source told Reuters.

Earlier at least seven people were killed in three separate mortar attacks on the crowd as several thousand people marched to the Kadhimiya mosque in the old district of north Baghdad for a religious ceremony.

Tensions have been running high between the main religious and ethnic communities ahead of a referendum on a divisive new constitution for the post-Saddam Hussein era.

Parliament completed work on a draft constitution on Sunday and it must be approved by a popular mandate before October 15 to come into force.

More about it.

Things like this are starting to really annoy me, we have a world that is too corrupt, we should be proud that we are the only lifeforms that are anywhere for millions of millions of billions of miles!

i find it quite funny that everyone always instantly screams AL QUADA (I dunno how 2 spell it either lol)... just another example of selective media and the influenceof america on people. if u think about it you can really link all the terrorist groups to each other... so that fact that alquada mite be linked means nothing
RE: Iraq Attack by RebelSean on 08-31-2005 at 11:53 AM

They have there government, why the hell are we still over there? They have ther peace, they have food, we've rebuilt everything but yet were still sacrificing our troops for no damn reason. Bush is starting to get on my nerves.

RE: Iraq Attack by L. Coyote on 08-31-2005 at 12:04 PM

[random-rant]Who said they needed to be "helped" at all?

They had their ways of living, different from ours, yes. But that doesn't give us a reason to invade other countries.[/random-rant]

This is not a reply to anyone, I'm just ranting.

RE: Iraq Attack by Hank on 08-31-2005 at 12:05 PM

well whoelse would want all that OIL an $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ from it, since the oil prices have gone up, i rekon Bin Laden would love it all to himself,

RE: Iraq Attack by L. Coyote on 08-31-2005 at 12:07 PM

* L. Coyote remembers Bush panicking when the people started to burn the oil.

 That was priceless.

RE: Iraq Attack by Ash_ on 08-31-2005 at 12:47 PM

althought i don't agree with their methods. people don't just kill
people for the hell of it. there is a reason behind it. it's may be
america always in iraq (to 'protect' it) for oil and shit, all this
shit will stop if Bush would stop the fighting and listen to the things
the terrorists want to say. that's my belief anyway.

RE: Iraq Attack by Purity on 08-31-2005 at 01:49 PM

Well, as you can see the world is getting crappier and crappier, like the bible said this will happen, this war will be 10 years, apparently, then thats the last of the world desastors then the apoc is after that, but by apoc I think it's about the whole world and society coming down on itself.
