It was only a Category 1 hurricane when it reached here so don't expect any real big damage or wind or rain like they got in New Orleans. RE: Hurricane Katrina damage pics/vids as a Category 1 by buzz on 09-05-2005 at 02:37 AM ..the new orleans hurricane didnt need to big that bad for alot of damage to be done. The city is below sea level, all they needed was a small push to their dams for the city to be destroyed RE: Hurricane Katrina damage pics/vids as a Category 1 by brian on 09-05-2005 at 02:40 AM Wow, that's scary, I guess I'm considering myself REALLY lucky. quote: Harrison County in Mississippi got the worst damage from the hurricane itself IMO. If the dams wouldn't have been destroyed in New Orleans, I bet it wouldn't look/seem/be as bad as it is. Harrison County though has homes completely destroyed and trees and powerlines down everywhere and hundreds dead from the hurricane. tbh, i cant believe nothing was done about it sooner. All these people are now stranded. Not only are they dying of no food or water, there are all sorts of dangers. Looters, killers, rapists...contaminated sewage water. |
