creating new account on windows by guanako on 09-08-2005 at 05:15 PM

ok i have my acount on this computer but i think this one has become 'poluted'
because when i log onto the administrator account it runs smoth and nice, and i wonder if as administrator i delete my current  account and create a new one, it is supposed to run smoth tight? but also if i do that is ther a way to export all my setting like for firefox all my passwords that are save to every website, i know i can just move my docs b4 i delete it so i wont loose therm but i am wondering about my settings, any help?

guanako.

U could also try WinXP Migration Wizard (MigWiz.exe) or copy folders manual (the ones u need under Documents and Settings \Application Data & \Local Settings).

Go ahead and delete the account; as long as one account is saved on the pc, settings will remain; they are stored on the drive, not user settings (progs like FF, etc.).

You actually get the option to keep or delete the user's settings, which will include anything under 'Documents and Settings' (like Firefox settings).
