RE: C-Panel Help by hmaster on 09-17-2005 at 03:36 PM try using cpanel to upload the file and not ftp RE: C-Panel Help by Lou on 09-17-2005 at 03:59 PM
quote:Well that *should* work. However it should be in cpanel somewhere to stop disconnecting after a period of time. I believe I saw that somewhere. RE: C-Panel Help by TazDevil on 09-17-2005 at 04:04 PM
see in your ftp client settings for settings to keep connection alive RE: RE: C-Panel Help by ShawnZ on 09-17-2005 at 04:23 PM
quote: As far as I know, its in the conf for the FTPd your host is running. Contact them to increase the timeout, or try using a better ftp client and see if that fixes it. RE: C-Panel Help by brian on 09-17-2005 at 04:28 PM SmartFTP sends NOOPS each while to prevent timeouts. RE: C-Panel Help by segosa on 09-17-2005 at 05:33 PM Yeah but he's talking about timeouts whilst transferring a file. That counts as activity so it's not normal for the server to disconnect him. I check my cpanel and I can't find where it was. I suggest download another client than smartftp. I myself used to use smartftp and it would timeout. |
