when i installed some video software, it installed media player classic on my computer. i noticed when i stream videos from sites, it streams in media player classic instead of wmp10. i reinstalled wmp10 and uninstalled the vdeo software but it still happens. help!

well in theory if its still running after you installed the video software wmp classic didn't get installed.....

Media Player Classic has nothing to do with Windows Media Player or Microsoft it is an entirely stand alone player. To simply have your media files played in WMP 10 again you need to open up WMP 10 then follow these clicks:
Tools>Options>File Types>Select All
That's it.

they were all checked in the player options to start with. i know that media player classic is stand alone but why is it being used in my net streaming

Right-click on an embedded video and choose "About." Is it being played by Media Player Classic (not a Microsoft product) or is it really Windows Media Player 6.4 as shown below?

well, for some reason its gone back to WMP10 now
