Wrong systray icons for MSN by haydos on 09-23-2005 at 09:50 AM

Lately I have noticed that occassionally when I change my status on MSN, or when I get a toast, the systray icon doesnt change as it should, or freezes at the wrong time. It is still perfectly operational with left and right click.

I was able to ignore the above problem but now MSN is using strange new symbols instead of the (m). I am seeing the picture shown below for online status and offline has an icon which looks similar to the window not responding icon.

I can still use the icon perfectly but it seems strange that I am getting these new icons for no apparent reason.

Windows Version: Windows XP, 5.01.2600
Messenger Client Version: 7.0.0816
Messenger Plus! Version: 3.54.0132
