really?? but how come when i play music on itunes, nothing comes up

It's because you haven't set it as the default player. On iTunes, go to Edit, then to Preferences. There on the General tab, look for something that says "Use iTunes as the default player for audio files". Check the box next to it and click OK. Happy listening!
