After I downloaded and installed Messenger Plus, my msn keeps saying that it's encountered a problem and has to be closed. I have version 7.5 for Msn Messenger. Windows Messenger still works though, so I'm very confused. I've reinstalled both Messenger Plus and Msn Messenger before and obviously it still doesn't work.

Have u installed any plug-ins ?

oh no, u don't absolutly need them, there just to add stuff and functionality to Plus! and MSN. An u have MSN 7.5 for XP right, not the fixed one for 2k ?

yeah I have the one that you can find on the msn website. I'm quite sure it's not the fixed one. I just want to know how to fix the problem so I can log back onto Msn Messenger, not get more nice features.

Ok good, that means u have an original version. Thought i dunno y it would be crashing like that... Try running MSN without Plus! (by terminating the MsgPlus.exe process.

it works again, but once I reinstall plus, the problem comes back.

yea, 3.61 for Plus!, released today - and 7.5.0306 for MSN

yeah, they're the ones I have. can this problem be from my own computer, since it works on my friend's computer.

Yea i'd say it's yur pc. Well i'd say dont use Plus! for now I'm afraid i'm not sure what else to recommend, an official tester or Patchou might be better at thelping u at this point, sry.

u can alwasy pm them (just surf the other posts and look for the "official tester" badge, or just wait till tmr, they visit the board for sure and give ya a reply
