I'm considering rather seriously the option of going Ubuntu, in which case I'd have to use Gaim as an IM. The sad part is that I'm really gonna miss all the nifty little features offered by Messenger Plus!.

My question, then, is if there is any paralel to Msg+ for Gaim, or if Msg+ itself works for Gaim.

well, first of all, msgplus is a windows program and therefore won't run on ubuntu, and for sure not on gaim anyway. second, there are no msgplus alternatives for gaim or amsn.
