what program do you use for your screenshots? I am trying to find one that works kind of like screenshot sender plugin for msgplus, but have it be a stand alone program...that way, I can select what I want to save, and it saves it.....anyone know of anything like this? RE: screenshot saver? by Tochjo on 10-20-2005 at 11:05 AM Alt-PrntScrn for windows and PrntScrn for the full screen works good enough for me. I tried IrfanView's screenshot options before too, allowed me to have the mouse pointer in it and things like that. quote: ---- As Tochjo said, the PrtnScrn button is excellent and often very underrated... But, if I need some more control, I just use the snapshot feature from PSP itself (or any other graphics program I'm using). I really can't see how yet another seperate program (which you either need to have in memory at all times, or first load before you wanna take a sshot anyways) is going to be any more usefull. 99,9999% of all screenshots taken often get edited a bit anyways, so why not simply use the build in screenshot feature of the graphics program you use. As for PSP, it supports everything you need, capturing area, full screen, client area, window or object. Activated by right click, hot key or time delay. Possebility to take multiple captures and to capture the cursor also... ---- As for making tutorials: pictures need to be always edited one way or the other anyways. Do not use "lazy-screenshot" pictures. The files often are either of low quality or either are very big. Decent tutorials contain edited pictures, not lazy raw saved as-is screenshots. ---- As for saving your screenshots: Please do NOT use BMP as fileformat for attaching or showing screenshots to forum messages or sending screenshots to your contacts!!! The reason for this can be read here: CookieRevised's reply to "Why not BMP?" Instead always use PNG, JPG or GIF! RE: screenshot saver? by MeEtc on 10-20-2005 at 04:15 PM Print Scrn + mspaint! resize it and ship it off! RE: screenshot saver? by Lou on 10-20-2005 at 08:54 PM I want to select what I save....to make sure its what I want....and neoshooter has a bilt in image editor...yes, I usually edit my screenshots in some way...but not always.....so this program seems very good...I will try thanks. RE: screenshot saver? by Jimcando on 10-21-2005 at 06:03 PM That Neoshooter app is just amazing! RE: screenshot saver? by Lou on 10-21-2005 at 10:55 PM
