I know of someone who has a feature that allows him to detect people whenever they click on his name or to his picture even though they aren't messaging him (nor typing).  Since he's so anal about not sharing where he got this from, I'm hoping someone here knows what I'm talking about and can share the source of where they got this feature from.

Thanks.

Hey,
I´m new to this Forum too.
And because my english is not so good I quote this, because I´m still looking for this plugin :-)

I hope someone can help me.

Thanks.

It only shows me if somebody open a chat with me :/

Or do I have an old version? :o

No no no there is a connection between the two users when you download a display picture or open a convosation.

Stuffplug does not detect when a display picture is clicked

There is no method to see whenever someone simply clicks on a name in the contact list, nor on a display picture!

This is because there is nothing send to the contact when you do this...

-------------

However! What Seifer_FF8, and others, most likely mean is when you double click on a contact. In other words when you open a conversation with that contact... When you do this, MSN Messenger sends a special message to the contact which request a connection. This is how open window notifiers, like the one in StuffPlug, work...

Or, when you view the contact card of a particular contact...
When you do this, again a message is send to the contact, requesting an update of the display picture. Thus, again, this message can be intercepted and a notification can be shown.

-------------

But note that, both messages (the update display picture and open conversation) actually are the same kind of message. And because of this, you will often have false notifications in "open window" notifiers, since there is no clear indication if it is a display picture update that is requested, or a open connection/window request....
