I just found this on digg. I've got no clue where it came from, or if it's real or not, but I suppose it's worth a gander. RE: MSNM 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by prashker on 10-28-2005 at 02:55 AM
If its real I shall kill everyone I know for the utter disgust of this. RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by Stigmata on 10-28-2005 at 02:58 AM I dont think so..... RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by EvilSeph on 10-28-2005 at 03:05 AM

I don't belive this is real.. at all.. why would they go with orange and gray suddendly? RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by guanako on 10-28-2005 at 03:57 AM i hope is not cos i wont feel like using it if it looks that way, but it looks fake why would it only say "Messenger 8" at the top if it is "MSN Messenger 8", and they even have Plus! in there RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by Jimcando on 10-28-2005 at 03:57 AM
Also, the window is called "Messenger 8.0 BETA" RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by guanako on 10-28-2005 at 04:04 AM

This is the most noticable thing for me RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by TheOtherSide on 10-28-2005 at 04:36 AM
MSN Messenger 8 comes together with the Microsoft Office 12 development builds. But it's not possible to sign in yet as they're hard-coded to work for certain Passport accounts only. RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by guanako on 10-28-2005 at 05:27 AM what does Messenger has to do with Office 12, i dont see a why they would put them together, but who knows maybe there is a reason fo rit RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by Discrate on 10-28-2005 at 06:26 AM i think its a beta skin i dont think that they would release it with that ugley skin on RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by Hank on 10-28-2005 at 06:54 AM i can see why they wouldnt call it "MSN Messenger" due to the merges between Yahoo an MSN , prolly would rename it to Just " Messenger" instead of MSN messenger RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by Discrate on 10-28-2005 at 06:57 AM yer iwas thinking that when yahoo merge wid msn does that mean there wont be a yahoo messenger and there wont be a msn messenger there will just be a messenger? RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by Hank on 10-28-2005 at 06:59 AM there should be still 2 Messengers, but that i dont know for sure RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by Discrate on 10-28-2005 at 07:00 AM yer well with this merge with both of the companys what will happen like what will this do? RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by Hank on 10-28-2005 at 07:13 AM you'll just be able to add Yahoo contacts to the MSN Messenger client an Vice versa Most likely RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by Discrate on 10-28-2005 at 07:15 AM but i can allready do that? i have a yahoo person on my list RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by Varish on 10-28-2005 at 07:50 AM MSN Messenger can accept anyone with a .NET passport, ur yahoo friend must have registered his/her yahoo account. RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by Discrate on 10-28-2005 at 07:52 AM yer he must off cuase i can sighn into msn with my gmail account i think i did sighn up for a net passport RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by adam.yao on 10-28-2005 at 09:38 AM so ugly RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by absorbation on 10-28-2005 at 09:57 AM
i think it is totally fake. Msn usally keep there clour scheme i could make that by changing a few images and some stuff in uifiles. RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by DJKAL on 10-28-2005 at 10:06 AM probally fake! and how do i write an image of me throwing up - its horrible! RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by absorbation on 10-28-2005 at 10:13 AM i cannot trust the download link where as no testers have been chosen who could leak it. RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by Hank on 10-28-2005 at 10:18 AM who knows if its fake or not, time will tell when its actually in alpha/beta stages, RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by absorbation on 10-28-2005 at 10:21 AM I know who installed it and it is "a snow white alpha skin" in there words. RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by RaPLeX on 10-28-2005 at 10:21 AM I dont think, its so bad RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by user27089 on 10-28-2005 at 10:24 AM
It doesn't look real to me, the colours just don't go with something that Microsoft would usually make, the rest of the MSN versions have stayed within the same colour scheme, such a dramatic change would be out of character... quote: I think it is fake. There's no way im gna try an download it to check, coz it might be virus infected. And anyway, they say the Beta is starting in Mid-November, so I'll wait til then RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by absorbation on 10-28-2005 at 02:58 PM It contains no virus however is fake. 5.0 MB for the insatller was the first give away, it would be in the 9.0 region i think RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by hmaster on 10-28-2005 at 02:59 PM Its fake. So obvious, just a really bad concept which is going to be a skin, they should have named it something else RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by guanako on 10-28-2005 at 04:14 PM it has nothing to do with yahoo, msn messenger and yahoo messenger will stay the same with the only diference that both services will be able to connect with each other and share some of its features, but it wont be a single IM service. RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by paperless on 10-28-2005 at 04:25 PM laawl... thats is so fake... RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by M73A on 10-28-2005 at 05:29 PM its fake for all of the things plus things like the display picture being removed thats in 7.5 (sign in screen).... just dont think they'd remove stuff that they've just added RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by sunny81 on 10-29-2005 at 04:07 PM

by updating to that you would be downgrading lol, it's crap, utter crap, and its the biggest fake since, well since watever the last biggest fake was before it. I'll say it again, BLAGH!!!!!!!!! RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by EvilSeph on 10-30-2005 at 03:15 PM
I really love how everyone on here is outrightly declaring this as fake when they really don't have a clue as to the validity of the screenshots. RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by absorbation on 10-30-2005 at 03:22 PM Not just screenhots they gave an msi which was only 5.0 MB and made this skin. I got rid of it straight away RE: RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by Salem on 10-30-2005 at 05:51 PM
quote: That MSI is infact an installer for version 7.0 RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by EvilSeph on 10-30-2005 at 09:05 PM
Actually that installer is for MSN Messenger 7.5 (Build 0306) and for me, at least, it was 9.2MB. RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by RebelSean on 10-31-2005 at 01:26 AM
I'm not going to say these are real or fake either. However, in my opinion, if MSNM 8.0 looked like this, I would sure as hell want skins for it. Quite a few people confirm this to be real, and quite a few don't. It's just a matter of time weither or not we are going to find out if it is . RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by dotNorma on 10-31-2005 at 02:58 AM
If you notice they always say "Messenger" instead of "MSN Messenger". They have always said "MSN Messenger" to distinguish between the windows messenger. RE: MSN Messenger 8 Screenshot - Real or Fake? by J.J on 10-31-2005 at 03:07 AM
Well people could be going on forever stating their opinions of whether 'its real' or whether 'its fake', but the plain fact is that people will not know the truth until it's released. |
