Hey guys ive found this posting bug about file attachment:. RE: Posting Bug, attachments by MeEtc on 11-16-2005 at 03:26 AM
I don't think this is a bug. Simply put, you can't preview your attachments online. Preview them on your computer before you upload it. RE: Posting Bug, attachments by qgroessl on 11-16-2005 at 03:28 AM Some people might want to see if they're attatchment appears correctly in their post though... Like a picture in their post... I think that might be the only reason they see it as a bug RE: Posting Bug, attachments by Val on 11-16-2005 at 03:31 AM
quote: yes, and you can do something like that so i just keeps the dir in the Attachment box so it would be easier so post then to find a file again especialy if its hard to find, you could lose something very important there RE: Posting Bug, attachments by surfichris on 11-16-2005 at 03:52 AM
It's not a bug - it's a limitation (well security feature) of the file upload field - not allowing us to set a value for the field. RE: Posting Bug, attachments by Val on 11-16-2005 at 04:01 AM
quote:yes that would be nice or just just make it so it keeps the input put in the box (eg. c:/program files/some game folder/game picture.jpg) so that we dont have to look for the file again RE: Posting Bug, attachments by WDZ on 11-16-2005 at 04:53 AM
quote:Not possible. Read what Chris said... quote:(If a value could be set by the page author, then any file could be stolen from your PC as long as the exact path was known) RE: Posting Bug, attachments by Val on 11-16-2005 at 01:26 PM
