I, myself have seen very few screenshots since I first found out what it was code-named. What do people think of the new Windows style? I, myself like the design but don't know much about how it will be so different from Windows XP. RE: Windows Vista by Hank on 11-18-2005 at 08:40 AM
it wont be so different by a large margin from XP.. unless u have a 256MB card ( Video card) or More it'll work fine,, for screenshots of it, search google for them, RE: Windows Vista by Savior on 11-18-2005 at 08:55 PM If you can run Windows XP or on your machine you will be fine with Windows Vista. RE: Windows Vista by stoshrocket on 11-18-2005 at 08:58 PM i loooove the new design, heard about the boot up times/new sleep things; i know its old news but i think its cool, my comp takes AGES to load up. I was thinking bout getting it instead of windows xp with my new computer i am building but im not too sure when its coming/if its out yet... quote:Wrong, the thread you are talking about was about when Vista is released cristmas time 2006 companies should not make a rush out of upgrading to Vista untill 2008, and it was NOT a MS guy who said it RE: Windows Vista by hmaster on 11-18-2005 at 09:41 PM oh right.. still i think they should change the name before release RE: Windows Vista by stoshrocket on 11-18-2005 at 09:43 PM
quote: <gasp>! why!? i love the name!!! ok then, ideas that microsoft can call it then people! RE: Windows Vista by ShawnZ on 11-19-2005 at 05:22 PM

RE: Windows Vista by rav0 on 11-20-2005 at 10:11 AM Whoever said it said something like turning on and off as reliably as a TV, in two or three seconds. RE: Windows Vista by ShawnZ on 11-21-2005 at 01:21 AM

RE: Windows Vista by Hank on 11-21-2005 at 03:39 AM aww that would Explain it,, but correct me if im wrong,, Mandriva so far is the fastaest one that has Fast Bootup times compared to Suse an Ubuntu, what does shawnz use a low end lightweight Window Manager, anyway im not gonna ask since its going OT RE: Windows Vista by Elessar on 11-21-2005 at 07:25 AM
From the few screenshots I've seen I really like the new style. But I'm little confused about the boot times, and the file system that will be implemented. RE: Windows Vista by Hank on 11-21-2005 at 07:58 AM More of a Resource Hog than XP in other words Explains to you about WinFS FileSystem RE: Windows Vista by stoshrocket on 11-21-2005 at 03:42 PM its not going to be much different apparently, its just going to use up your graphics card to make animations/3d stuff on your desktop, going to be more reliable, all the usual bull that microsoft spit out when a new version is brought out. |
