Just choose anyone, chances are 99% they'll be free, take like 31337

Don't worry, because that range is very big as you can see, and I dont think that there you have programs that will use all these ports :P

Any port you will enter should do... ;)
If it doesn't work, then try another port...

I use port 6405 for tcp and udp for DC++ if you want to try the ports i use... :P

Make sure to forward the ports you selected on your router :)

See how to do this here: http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_f...ng/routerindex.htm
Just select your router's model :)

i have opened the ports and allowed the application full access to the internet on both my firewalls

It might be spyware or adware that blocks it. It blocked half of my connection once so I could only go to half of the sites on the web and it blocked some application too(that requires that you are online)

well, my computer is scanned every other day and no spyware/adware/viruses were found, so that kinda rules out the problem.
its not a problem as such with my internet, but more with my DC++. it wont let me download on 1 type of settings

You should ask at the official DC++ forums then...
