I got the psp and it has got to be said that there is simply no handhelp gaming device that can compete with it on the market now. and there is just so much you can do with it, it is so versitile, there is so much out for it all ready and lots more set to come out, it will just keep expanding, it will always be worth what you pay or it, (at least till psp2 or something better comes out)

You should, but remember to also ask for a one giga card to put in it! So then you can have lots of room for music and photos and even a small movie clip .

Yes, you should get a PSP....
..Well, according to people that I have spoken to about the Sony PSP, it is like having a PS2 in your hands. Yes folks, it really looks that good. I can see this as being a major problem for Nintendo if they don’t react very quickly.

i've got mine... but im not allowed it till xmas
i'd definitely get a psp.... i was playing a friends and was surprised at how 'plastiony' it felt! i loved it

Hopefully I can get one, but my parents are still saying that it is unlikely that I will be allowed one
Edit: Also, how bad is a dead pixel? A second-hand one I want to buy has one dead pixel in the bottom left corner. Are they very annoying? I have one on my LCD, but I don't notice it now. (It did make not as exciting though at first and I don't want that if I get a psp)
Oh and for a memory stick, does it matter which one I get? Is one like a "Sandisk 1gb Memory Stick Pro Duo" fine?

I guess i'm the only one to say go with the ds but.....go with the ds psp is a huge huge waste of money sure if you had about a grand to throw around psp is the best option but i am going with the ds as it does everything i want it to and nothing less it plays games can connect to the net thats all i want games are cheap console is cheap sure its not as good as psp but less expensive its not that i dont have the money for psp infact i do but its not worth throwing round that amound of money for a hand held that kind of money i would just get a 360 or somthing but if your out alot and u like the handheld go for the psp for sure but if not get somthing else

so maybe that shows that I want a PSP because it looking cool... If the PSP games aren't much better than the DS ones, then maybe I shouldn't get it because I don't want to spend heaps of money on something that I can't really afford...Edit: Comparing the PS2 and PSP, the PS2 is cheaper and better but I don't really want it. I think that half of the reason why I want one is because like Traxor said, it's a fashion accessory. I'll have to think about it more... If only I had a bit more money.

I personally don't see much of a need for myself to get a PSP.
The internet feature has little point for myself, a computer can use the internet, and most of the time I'm in range of a wireless lan (with internet) I'm actually in my house and have accses to a computer!
Online gaming, and the games for it, are good, but I prefer using computers for gaming online and with friends.
At the end of the day, I don't have much point for a PSP, all the features of it, I can use without having to own one anyway. If I'm out of my house, many of the PSP features become unusable (such as T'internet).
Despite the gfx of the thing, I'm still very happy with GBA games for the limited time I spend wanting to play games on holiday or out of my house. And I've had that GBA for many years.

with PSPs, dont you have to buy those special DVDs (i forget what they're called now)? you buy a DVD for home use, and then if you wnat one for your PSP that's another 30bucks or however much.i dont like that bit about the psp...i'm not a gamer, but i want one for some reason 
maybe it's all the hype, and it's getting to me 
so....i guess yeah, cross your fingers for one

Yes, if you're really that type of person then its just going to be waste of money, i know because im the same type of person
When people tell you cool stuff about it, that's when you get all hyped up, you start thinking the things you would do on it and when you get one you'll be like "Well i dont want to .. " or something like that.
