They will just see some weird Plus! code.

Any Messenger Plus! features such as custom emoticon sounds, coloured nicknames etc won't work unless your contact also has Messenger Plus! and there is no way around it.
If they don't have Messenger Plus! they're MSN Messenger will jsut ignore the Plus! codes.
