Need help with USB Drive by Weyzza on 12-07-2005 at 12:35 AM

I just bought an USB drive, and when I tried to open it, it said that the drive isn't formatted.
Then I formatted it under FAT32, and it said Windows was unable to complete the format :dodgy:

Please help me.

I should find that in the properties, right?

I don't see it.
In fact, the file system is RAW...

It would be on the actual USB Drive.

go Start > Run > "compmgmt.msc" > Disk Management

try formatting it from there :)

I had this too, but it didn't want to format because it's too small (32 mbs)

What file system should I set to? FAT or FAT32?
Quick format or regular format?
Allocation Unit size?

Will do it tomorrow...

btw, I remember it's saying that the disk is write protected.
Where can I find the option or maybe the protector like on a floppy?
RE: Need help with USB Drive by RaceProUK on 12-07-2005 at 02:06 PM

Write protect is a switch on the side usually.
