Hi RE: two messengers by *Saint* on 12-22-2005 at 05:56 AM
you can turn on MSN messengers chat log feature by clicking tools>options>messages and clicking the box automatically log my conversations. RE: two messengers by cloudedhopes on 12-22-2005 at 08:15 AM
thnx saint RE: two messengers by RaceProUK on 12-22-2005 at 11:18 AM I assume the two clients have different Passports signed in to them? If so, then the settings for one's logs are independent of the settings for the other's logs. So just change the location they're saved to RE: two messengers by CookieRevised on 12-22-2005 at 11:54 AM
- There is no logging feature in Windows Messenger (at least not for the versions I know), only in MSN Messenger. RE: two messengers by cloudedhopes on 12-27-2005 at 04:46 AM

no dude... it doesn't work. I set the login for windows messenger, which will always be abc@hotmail.com to d:\chat\ RE: two messengers by CookieRevised on 12-27-2005 at 06:20 AM
quote:What Raceprouk said is how it works: MSN Messenger saves logging settings per account as well as Messenger Plus! saves logging settings per account. But you are confusing some things it seems. So to make things maybe clearer, here is everything in a list: 1) MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger are two different instant messenger clients. They both save all their settings in a different place. 2) In MSN Messenger, logging features are saved per account. This means per account you can have different settings for logging in MSN Messenger. 3) In Windows Messenger there is no logging feature at all. 4) Messenger Plus! is an addon for MSN Messenger and/or Windows Messenger. It is not a instant messenger client on its own. It adds features to MSN Messenger and/or Windows Messenger. 5) Messenger Plus! also has a logging feature which works independantly from the logging feature of MSN Messenger. 6) Messenger Plus! saves all its settings per account. This means per account you can have different settings for logging in Messenger Plus!. quote:It does work. Extremely many people do this all the time. Also, I just tried it out again, no problems what-so-ever. quote:1) Make sure you are signed in with the correct accounts before you change the logging settings in Messenger Plus!. 2) Make sure you change the correct log setting in Messenger Plus! There are three different settings: - one for the logging folder - one for the archive folder - one for the event log 3) Make sure you press "Apply" or "Ok" when you have change settings.
