I only have MSN Messenger and every time a switch my PC on, a MSN window automatically appears on my desktop - I have tried every way of getting rid of it (even disabling automatic start up in the options menu). I run Windows XP. RE: Annoying start up screen! by Tochjo on 12-31-2005 at 08:40 PM Could you be more precise as to what exactly the window says, what text is on it and so on? RE: Annoying start up screen! by stoshrocket on 12-31-2005 at 08:42 PM i think he means msn loading on start-up, yes? RE: RE: Annoying start up screen! by stiggla on 01-01-2006 at 12:11 PM
quote:Yes that is precisely what is happening - it is the main MSN Messenger login window and I cant prevent it from opening every time I turn my PC on RE: Annoying start up screen! by lordy on 01-01-2006 at 12:34 PM

In the window that keeps opening click; RE: Annoying start up screen! by John Anderton on 01-02-2006 at 07:23 AM
quote: quote:If you disable it from the options it goes off the msconfig list quote:stiggla wanted to the MSNM window "not to startup at all", not just "not show up" Just uninstall msn, restart it then goto start > run > type "msconfig" without the quotes Check if MSNM is still in the start up. If it is, uncheck it. If it isnt just close the program (msconfig ie) and then reboot (if you may please. Not necessary tho ) Reinstall msn when your pc starts and then goto options and check if the option to "load msn messenger when windows loads" is unticked. If it is then untick it. Reboot to check if it worked RE: Annoying start up screen! by xsRush on 01-02-2006 at 08:29 AM
He said "a MSN window automatically appears on my desktop" that's what made me think it was the contact list opening at startup on him all the time. |
