Making your own plugin by orange.x on 01-09-2006 at 07:18 PM

Hello, if got this great idea for a MSN plugin, and I just want some help with building the plugin.

I'm going to school now and am learning some JAVA, so a few programming basics are already up here :)

I'm gonna install Visual Basic.Net trial so i can try a little bit.

What would be a good place to start?

Maybe it's good that there is some guide to help people out who also want to make a plugin for MSN?

Did you mean you have got this great idea or if you get a great idea?

If you have a great idea for a plug-in why don't you share it with us, it may have already been done or maybe we can help you out with it?

I've got a great idea. If I may first try to manage something on my own :) Offcourse I'll share it with all the people ;)

It has something to do with music ;)

If I'm not able to make it on my own, which is very possible :P, I'll ask you guys :)

Mmmms, I thought some things through whlie I was reading the API.

I think it would be very simple for somebody who made a plugin before! And it will take a lot of time to fix this on my own!

Here's my idea:
It already is possible to use the command (!WAT), that shows the title of the song that's being played in winamp. There also is a command /sendfile which will send a file that you can select in the pop-up.....

I would like to see those 2 great things combined. I always have something like: Oeeooeo you should here this melody... But I always need to search the music file on my own. I thought, maybe it is possible to combine those 2 commands and send the file you are listening at!!

Some people, like me, use automatic accept, from certain friends, so it is even more easier to send music you like to share with you palls :)

Is this like possible with skills of the skilled people here ;)

The idea you got is nice... but thought of before ;)

A long time ago people have already thought of it and created plugins for it.

eg: see [Request] Send Song Command

But the idea is even older than that thread, and TB (formely known as DJMystic) has created a plugin which was (is?) able to do exactly what you want.

See: CookieRevised's reply to is there an amip like thing in msg plus

Or direct link to the NowPlaying Plugin:
