Today on my laptop, I noticed that I suddenly only had 688 mb left on my C drive, which is on 10 gb, on that drive, only Windows, and programs is installed, so I took a look into what was taking so much space...

Though I'm wondering "HOW THE HELL" did that one become so big?..
If you notice the creation date, it was created on the 3rd of november (The date is in danish so it's DD/MM/YYYY)... 2 months!
Something apparently went wrong I guess?...
Now my though is, what happens if I delete it?...

I just thought you wanted to see this, since I was really shocked by this..
Though notice that the 8 gb is not the "size on disk"....
So I am kinda wondering what it's there for?...
I just did a reboot, and it's still there..
I checked my dads computer, and his same file is around 7 mb...
Someone else have seen this before?...

I had exactly the same thing on my computer, i think it was related to WLM but i could never confirm it.
I deleted it with no problems.

Erm, now that i have WLM, i'm concerned........ how or where do i find this shit?

Lol, I have the same thing... Both exactly 8.1 GB big

strange... didn't even notice that...

but I don't have that MSN Messenger folder, only Messenger

Yeah don't worry, its a WLM bug and its been reported on connect. Its only taking up around about 18MB on your HDD so disgard the whole 8gig thing . It will be fixed in the next version of WLM hopefully

how many of you are still using windows live messenger after installation?

I just found too many problems with it, and just felt it wasn't ready hence the term BETA.

So I uninstalled it after a day and am back very happily using 7.5, I know it might seem slightly off topic but you are talking about the bugs in it causing you problems so I was just curious.

I"m still using it, paritially because i'm a beta tester and because i really have found not that many bugs with it

Oh thanks for that,I uninstalled WLM the next day I got it..but this strange folder was still there.I didnt even notice it either lol

Weird thing is that I can't seem to reproduce this o.O.

It just comes from time to time, saw that file while defragging.  Apparently it's only a bug and the file is not 8 GB.
