Im posting this for my sister.

When she uses her Windows profile and signs into messenger she can access her email through messenger like normal but when her husband uses his own windows profile and signs into msn messenger with the same hotmail account as my sister (shared account), he cannot check their hotmail email through messenger. He gets the following message:

Any ideas how to fix the problem?

ermmm.... have you tried contacting hotmail or the FAQ's thats the best i can help

Did your sister tie that .NET Passport to her windows account as explained here?

The problem seems to be related to the user (windows) account somehow.
