ive got some shared folders setup with some of my contacts.....

in one of them it says:

'you have different versions of files in this folder. View files'

then:

'The following are conflicting files between you and your contact. Learn more about resolving file conflicts'

and the link takes me to here:
Help  Page With HUGE URL

both of the solutons don't work because there is no delete option when right clicking the file and pressing del does nothing also.

how can i fix this?

For those who wonder: note that the shared folders feature in Windows Live Messenger Beta is only available to specific regions.

what will the cleanup delete?

it deletes the msn messenger folder in the application data folder apparently... will i loose anyhting by doing this?

Yes, everything which is cached and stored in there will be gone...

Windows Explorer is the file manager of Windows. It has nothing to do with Messenger. So, I don't understand why you say: "indeed... it still doesnt have the delete option"...

i know this might sound dumb but have u tried dragin the file to the recycle bin, or try login in as administrator or safe mode also it seems like you are not on, but tha could be because of the different versions of folders.  and are this your files?, since  this part of the system even a non-administrator user can acces.
