  • what version of mybb are u using?
  • What version of OS are you running?

RE: need help with fixing my forum by DJKAL on 02-15-2006 at 08:37 PM

im using the newest : 1.04

i can only find a ".mybb" file
and the image files

RE: need help with fixing my forum by zaher1988 on 02-15-2006 at 08:46 PM

umm i'm afraid mybb final doesn't support files else than .XML (not sure)
you can read my tutorial, about making a theme.
i'm sure it will help you.

thanks Lordy 16!
i have found a theme that works and uploaded it, where do i upload the images too though ?

RE: need help with fixing my forum by zaher1988 on 02-15-2006 at 09:43 PM

well in case you dont wanna use the old theme anymore, replace the ./images

else u will have to make a new directory
then in the theme manager while editing the theme, specify the new images directory.

RE: need help with fixing my forum by DJKAL on 02-15-2006 at 09:56 PM

only 1 small problem...
i dont have the control panel access :|
wher eyou click to "login" or register or veiw PM's
ETC
it isnt visible

http://www.djnation.teaspoondiner.net/index.php

go there to se what i mean :)

RE: need help with fixing my forum by zaher1988 on 02-15-2006 at 10:06 PM

ok you mean the welcome panel .

i'm afraid the new theme had a template set with it that removed the welcome block.
or it was removed by mistake.

go to Admin CP > Templates > Modify / Delete > Expand [the new theme templates or the default ]> header

revert it to original.

that will remove the customzation of the top links.

in case u wanna save them.

find in that template $welcomeblock

if it's not there

add it below

code:
<div id="panel">

regards

sorry forget all above, later i discovered your problem

it's the text color it's black with a black background

just select with ur mouse that area u will see it
RE: need help with fixing my forum by DJKAL on 02-15-2006 at 10:53 PM

as id like to keep the black background

RE: need help with fixing my forum by zaher1988 on 02-15-2006 at 10:56 PM

yes ofcourse, in the theme manager , edit ur theme, find the welcome panel's Css codes table. set the font and link color to the color u want.

RE: need help with fixing my forum by DJKAL on 02-15-2006 at 11:38 PM

thanks..now there is 1 mre problem :$
the links to vaigate around the forum once you have moved parttly through it, these are at the top
example:
DJ NATION/General/General chit chat/welcome

when you are at the DJ NATION page then that link is "invisible"
when you go to Gerneral it becomes visible but General is invisible
then when you go to GCC General comes visible but GCC isnt visible.
the text is there as you can highlight it and it shows up.
the URL is above if you need to test what i mean.
thanks!

SOLVED
i just had to change the font colour of the "active breadcrumb" {weird name:P}
thanks for your help!

RE: need help with fixing my forum by zaher1988 on 02-16-2006 at 08:39 PM

well for that one!!

u have to edit the CSS code of the topmost class
change the background color

you may find it in the Additional CSS attributes , at the bottom of the theme manager.
i guess it's in the master theme, if it wasn't there, then it is in the new theme.
