i think you refering to the custom smiley's ?
%temp%\MessengerCache is the directory where your contact's CE's and DP's are stored/cached.
(where %temp% is your Temporary Files directory in Windows)
And i think that's also the place where it stores your CE's

Do not rename or edit them in the original folder..also do not place them back inthere (renamed back to .dat).I think that's what you are asking. Could you please put english translation with it aswell?
