Is there any way to disable the virus scan warning in Messenger Beta w/o using Plus?

Set it as some random exe and it should work. I just set my "virus scanner" as utorrent and I was able to send an exe.

but then uTorrent loads after a file is sent... I could set it to Notepad.exe but then a copy of Notepad will appear!

Patch, any way to make an option to enable/disable that feature in Plus4?

I have issues as to exactly what exe and variable it is to scan files with Symantec Corporate Antivirus a well but it would be best if we could turn the feature off.

Putting things in a .zip / .rar is an easy method to get around it or to rename it to a .rar filename.

I think the easiest way is to simply download internal wlm virus scanner pressing the install button in the options window :)

5.5kB (unzipped) for a program that does naff all :mipdodgy:

Anyway, this is a Windows console app that quits as soon as it starts. Enjoy ;)

I will do you one better.

Just extract it to a folder and set it as the antivirus in MSN. you wont even see the console window that you would with raceprouk's.

Yes :P.

I was considering making it ask to launch the file received but I didn't get around to it. Maybe in the next version I will incorporate that.
